Social Accountability for Climate-Smart Actions

#omarasgharkhanfoundation trained eight civil society organizations to assist communities in using social accountability to engage governments and the private sector in Balochistan, KP, Punjab and Sindh to advocate #climatesmart actions, including shifting to renewable energy sources, improving water use, and, increasing resilience to #climateemergencies.

To ensure that the social accountability is community-led, inclusive and collaborative, the training specifically focused on understanding #participation and helped participants enhance their skills in participatory methodologies like SALT and PRA.

The Foundation will continue to work with the trained organisations to provide support as they use the social accountability training to improve the impact of their advocacy for #climatejustice.
