Aawaz II: Building Capacities in #SocialAccountability Training Workshop for Punjab Partners & Volunteers

Omar Asghar Khan Foundation conducted the first in a series of three training workshops on #SocialAccountability for Aawaz II partners and volunteers from its district and sub-district institutional structures representing five Punjab districts: Hafizabad, Okara, Sialkot, Sarghoda and Toba Tek Singh.

The Foundation has lead responsibility for designing and facilitating these training workshops as part of Aawaz II’s sustained capacity building plan to help increase citizen engagement with government to promote actions that prevent and respond to harmful practices, especially gender-based violence (GBV), child marriage, and, social exclusion.

Aawaz II is a multi-year project initiated in 2019. Its community component is implemented by British Council with financial support from FCDO. Omar Asghar Khan Foundation is Aawaz II’s lead partner in KP, and is also providing technical assistance on social accountability across the 15 districts of KP and Punjab where the programme is currently active.
