2022 Floods Aawaz II Partners’ Recommendations on Social Inclusion

Omar Asghar Khan Foundation met with the Secretary-Relief & Rehabilitation and the DG and senior officials of the PDMA to share recommendations made by women, PWDs, transgender persons and religious minorities to make relief, rehabilitation and resilience more responsive to their needs & interests. The recommendations were made at an Aawaz II Provincial Consultation on Social Inclusion & 2022 Floods held in November 2022 that brought together more than 50 persons from six flood-affected districts in which Aawaz II has been actively working for more than two years. The government officials appreciated the recommendations. The PDMA invited Omar Asghar Khan Foundation to become a member of its Gender & Child Protection Cluster, which will help take these recommendations forward.
